Display : PAL& This is a very easy to use file&restorer for those of us who are just&occasionally careless sometimes. Have&you ever deleted the wrong file, or a&whole directory full of them? No, I of&course haven't either but the author&of this utility apparently has so he's#written this no-nonsense recoverer.& On running the program it opens&it's own screen with everything&labelled in French. You can change&this to German or English with the&click of a mouse button and the&configuration can be saved so&ARestaure will boot up in the language
of your choice in the future.
Searching for files is very fast with it skipping any un-deleted ones. A near full disk only takes a few
seconds to search.
[23m& To restore deleted programs&requires no more than a click on a&drive button where the hopefully&recoverable files are. It works with&both floppies and hard disks. Once the&drive has been selected it searches&the disk for whatever it thinks is&restorable and displays them so you&can select the ones you want. Once one&or more files are selected they are&saved to the "t" directory which is&usually in the ram disk unless you've
assigned it elsewhere.& I had no trouble restoring most&files with only a couple apparently&being too big for the ram disk to&hold. As those ones came off floppies&this didn't make sense but perhaps
they had been corrupted.& You can also erase deleted files&completely so they can no longer be&restored. This is useful for those in&the habit of sending disks to others&as deleted but not totally erased&files could be restored by those
receiving the disks.& Both searching for files and&erasing them is very fast with it&skipping any un-deleted ones. A near&full disk only takes a few seconds to
search.& One minor problem with the program&is that it can sometimes take a long&time to let go of the floppies afterAyou've finished searching a disk. Even after leaving them forAthree or more seconds I was sometimes caught out and asked to put
the disk back again. Annoying.A There's also a bug in the program that causes a crash if youAdecide to try and change the language while working on the disk.AThis is not something you'll do very often after you've saved the;configuration file so it shouldn't cause too many problems.A The only thing really missing from the program would seem toAbe a file requester for saving the files you've restored. UsingA"t" means you will probably always have to move the files$somewhere else after restoring them.A A most useful and very simple to use program and it even looksAgood. I was most surprised when I found it was only a four-colourAscreen! If you need a file restorer then check this one out
